Stable Cottage is located across the courtyard from the main house, Robin Hood Cottage – a former inn dates back to 1720.
It’s a beautifully restored family home (with lots of character).
Stable Cottage is a delightful holiday cottage that used to be the former inn’s stable . The property has been renovated to create a spacious one-bedroom cottage that’s all on one level and is easily accessible.
Located across the courtyard from the main house, it sleeps 2 and is perfect for a relaxing romantic holiday in beautiful north Norfolk.
With solid wood floors throughout, the cottage is flooded with natural light from the windows and well positioned sky lights. The lounge has a comfortable sofa-bed which can sleep 2 further guests.
Entertainment includes; an LCD television with Freeview, a DVD player, iPod speakers, books, maps and games. A selection of DVDs can be borrowed from the main house and you’re welcome to join the WiFi network.
The fully fitted kitchen has modern appliances throughout including a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave and fridge. There’s good quality cooking equipment and crockery and a large farmhouse table that gives you space to relax and spread out.
The bedroom is a good size, it has a double bed with fine Egyptian cotton bed linen, bedside tables, reading lamps and a large chest of drawers.
The spacious ensuite shower room has a large power shower, wash basin, toilet and shaver point. Bath and hand towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.
Heating is provided by ‘eco electric’ radiators. The cottage has a hairdryer, iron with ironing board. Service washes are available from Robin Hood house.
Relax in the garden
You are welcome to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean courtyard garden with olive trees and lavender – an ideal spot to unwind with a drink under the grapevine outside the front door.
Stable Cottage is located in the heart of gently undulating north Norfolk countryside.
Dogs are welcome to stay in the cottage for a one-off fee of £20.

Good food close by…
In the village of Walsingham there’s good quality, fresh local produce on sale across the road from Stable Cottage at the award-winning Walsingham Farms Shop.
Their sister restaurant, the Norfolk Riddle is a short stroll away. Try their takeaway fish and chips for a quick and easy meal on your first night.
Walsingham village is rich in architectural, historic and religious treasures.
At its height in medieval times, Walsingham rivalled Canterbury and the great shrines of Europe. Most kings and queens of England made pilgrimages here, from Henry III to Henry VIII.
The two religious shrines are very popular, so too is Walsingham Abbey gardens.

Ruins of the Augustinian priory formed the heart of the medieval village.
During February there’s a spectacular display of snowdrops spread out across almost 20 acres of woodland – always a cheery herald to spring.
