‘The Pigsty’ was designed some years ago by a local architect and converted by craftsmen that were brought up and still live in the village of East Runton, close to Cromer.
The accommodation is all on one level with an open plan kitchen/sitting/dining area. The original exposed flint walls and vaulted, beamed ceiling have been retained.
The first bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite bathroom, with P shaped shower bath. The second bedroom, with bunk beds, is suitable for children. The third bedroom has a single bed, but can be a twin bedroom if the full sized truckle bed is used. There’s also a separate shower room.
Central heating throughout makes for a warm and cosy stay. Outside, the south facing enclosed garden has a small patio area and garden furniture.
A shared laundry room is close by, with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
One well behaved dog is very welcome.
Manor Farm Holiday Cottages
For a holiday near the sea, in unspoiled Norfolk countryside, with winding lanes, meadows, woods and hills, Manor Farm is perfect.
As well as their popular caravan and camping site, Manor Farm offers 7 traditional farm buildings, carefully and expertly converted into luxury holiday cottages for families of two to eight. Each has been sensitively converted to preserve their original character and appearance.
The well-appointed cottages, just 15 minutes’ walk from East Runton’s sandy beach, form part of a 150 acre working farm, complete with growing crops, sheep, lambs, cows, calves, ponies, donkeys, pygmy goats, ducks and chickens.
Manor Farm is set in some of north Norfolk’s most attractive countryside, surrounded by green hills, woods and meadows.

East Runton
East Runton is a charming coastal village immediately west of Cromer. East Runton’s glorious beach, with its wide stretch of sand and rock pools, is just 15 minutes walk away (or a quick drive).
The village offers a pub, shop and a few different places to eat nearby, including fish and chips. It’s an enjoyable short walk along the beach (or clifftops) to Cromer.
The Bittern Line railway line, connecting Norwich with Sheringham, can be caught from nearby West Runton or Cromer stations. The Coast Hopper bus service also passes through the village.
Alternatively, you can head west on the coast road towards West Runton, and shortly after that, Sheringham. The fossil of a woolly mammoth was famously unearthed at West runton a few years ago. Continue west to explore even more of the north Norfolk coastline. The National Trust Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate is only a 10 minute car journey away.
